He was born in 1939 in Odessa. In  1959-1962 studied in Odessa State Art College. Together with A. Anufriev were behind the Nonconformist movement in Odessa.

Active inspirer, organizer and participant of apartment exhibitions. In 1979, forced into exile, currently lives and works in Munich.

Since 1980 he works in the West. In the late 80\\\'s, during the «adjustment», restoring close relations with His colleagues and friends in Odessa youth.

His works are in museums and private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Austria, Germany, France, Canada, the United States.
